Clean hotel in a lovely building adjacent to the botanical gardens. Exceptionally comfortable bed, good looking and well-maintained room with a view of street.

Amazing stay in a good small and homey hotel. Excellent service and nice looking and beautifully maintained rooms exactly as in the photos. Breakfast with yogurt and toast, as for instance. Beautiful location close to public transport with views on to the park and church. And really close to excellent restaurants and major tourist attractions such as Kelvingrove Art Galleries, the shops and SSE Hydro, and pubs and restaurants.

Clean, cozy rooms that provide a touch of charm in this well-kept, older building. Location offers a pleasant walk to Kevingrove Park and nearby art galleries.
The shampoo and conditioner are in dispensers, which might catch you off guard if you unpack your own. Some carpets have a noticeable odor, especially when windows are closed, and the top floor requires a bit of stair-climbing, which could be an issue for some. My room was slightly chilly at night, but that's just personal preference since I didn't want to disturb anyone figuring out the radiator. The TV remote didn't seem to work, possibly needing a battery replacement.

As always a superb stay at the Acorn, receptionist/cook is a hoot, rooms are exceptionally comfortable and very chic, modern decor. Fantastic value for money, and free WiFi too. Location is perfect, right next to Kelvingrove Park, a short walk to Bath Street and a short bus ride to the trendy West End or shopping in the city centre!

great stay but limited dining options
The room offered a spacious setup with a large window allowing plenty of daylight , made working inside enjoyable. I appreciated the staff's eagerness to help with requests like late checkout and the quick response to my query about a lost item that was mailed back to me.
The dining options felt quite limited and could use some improvement.

Hotel was absolutely spotless and the welcome on arrival was warm and friendly. I had the breakfast which was very good with plenty to choose from. No sign of cheap brands. I had a room on the second floor which was very clean and well presented with plenty of weveything you would expect in your room, ie towels, shower gel, soap, tea, coffee, milk etc. The bed was very comfortable and the furniture in the room was well presented. I would strongly recommend the hotel for business or leisure.
